Have you got the application blues, and don’t know where to start? Then you sound like you may be in the exact spot. The entire University Culture team was also on the same boat as you are. That’s why we are here to help you successfully apply to the university of your dreams!

Let’s Get Started

When submitting your college application make sure that you fill out all the required information requested by the deadline. For many universities in California the deadline for fall applications is November 30th. Also, be sure that you inquire about special programs like the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) or TRIO which are state and federally-funded programs that motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their pursuit of a college degree.

If you are applying to any of the 23 California State Universities (CSU), begin by logging on to: https://www2.calstate.edu/apply

This website will provide you with information on the CSU system and it will help you plan, explore, and apply for one or many of these campuses.

If you are applying to the University of California system, begin by logging on to: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/

This website will provide you with information on all ten campuses that make up the University of California system.

If you are applying to an Independent or Private college or university, begin by logging on to: http://www.commonapp.org/.

Last but not least, the California Education Roundtable has developed a website designed “for all students to meet high academic standards such that they will be prepared for subsequent success in education or the workplace without the need for remediation in core academic disciplines.” This website ties up all the four systems that exist in California, such that any student can log on to this website and find all the information they need.

Phew, that was a lot of information, but remember you don’t have to weed through this information alone. Visit your Transfer Center or Academic Counseling Center to get more assistance with your transfer process. Your future depends on it!
